The theme for this weeks post seems to be crazy things that are happening and shared through the media. This article was published earlier this week as part of The Wasatch Wave publication.

The paragraph I have quoted below is the second paragraph from this letter to the editor. It talks about the fair earnings of women would cause men to be unable to provide for their families. God forbid that women need to provide for their families.

If businesses are forced to pay women the same as male earnings, that means they will have to reduce the pay for the men they employ… simple economics. If that happens, then men will have an even more difficult time earning enough to support their families, which will mean more Mothers will be forced to leave the home (where they may prefer to be) to join the workforce to make up the difference.

It amazes me that even still in 2017 that something like this can make it to press. What do you think about this article? Should it have been printed? How can we improve situations like this?
